Executive Director Announces Departure

Dear Health Ministries Network community,

I need to share some important news with you. After a great deal of thought, I have decided to leave my position at Health Ministries Network starting in October. There are many factors that contributed to this decision, but the driving force is the need to prioritize my family as we face a long road ahead during this pandemic.

I’ve met with our board chair, Joni Hensley, our board, and our fiscal sponsor, the Chuckanut Health Foundation. We look forward to sharing more about the transition plan in the coming weeks. I feel hopeful that a thoughtful and energetic nurse, pastor or nonprofit manager will be interested in the Executive Director position given that they could work part time and entirely from home. Please share this opportunity with your networks!

Please know it has been my pleasure to work with the HMN board, faith community nurses, health ministers, Foundations course instructors and faith community leaders over the last two years. I know there is more work to do, especially in our recruitment of new faith community nurses and health ministers to serve diverse communities. I know that the relationships we have established together will lay a solid foundation for the next ED, and I’m excited to see what’s ahead for Health Ministries Network.

With deep gratitude and blessings to you,

Amelia
