This Summer: Researchers Seeking Faith Community Nurses for Interviews

This summer Health Ministries Network is partnering with the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center to study factors that support successful health ministry and faith community nursing. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) helped initiate the research project and the results could encourage DOH to provide training and other funding to support faith community nursing.

They are interested in meeting with faith community nurses and teams for one-hour, in-person interviews. Here is the information:

Who: Faith community nurses, health ministers who work alone or in teams in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties

Timeline: Mid-June to Early-August, with flexible scheduling -- we will come to you!

We will provide a $50 gift card to participants' faith-based organizations as a thank you for their participation. We will ensure all information collected in the interviews will remain confidential.

For questions, clarifications, or to set up an interview, please contact Erica Bourget at bourget@uw.edu, 206-616-1962. We look forward to hearing from you!
