This 6-week class promotes a proven, nutritious food plan with unlimited variety and includes strategies for establishing a more active lifestyle. Our program is taught by a Registered Dietitian, a Behavior Modification Specialist and a Fitness Professional.

Nutrition & Diabetes Education Clinic:
The Nutrition & Diabetes Clinic works with patients, either individually or in groups, to help them discover the best ways to manage their health through diet, nutrition, exercise, lifestyle changes, or, if needed, improved use of diabetes medications, including insulin.
   More than fifty percent of the Nutrition & Diabetes Clinic patients have diabetes. The clinic staff supports those who are new to living with diabetes, those who just want to find out what is new with diabetes management, or those who feel overwhelmed and frustrated managing their diabetes. We understand the challenges of living with diabetes and trying to make health and lifestyle changes.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program
  WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for pregnant, post-partum, and breastfeeding women as well as infants and children up to age five who are income eligible and have a nutritional/health risk. Working families may qualify. They receive nutrition education , growth and development assessments, breastfeeding counseling, checks for specific nutritious foods, health and social referrals, and assistance with access to medical care. Sites: Whatcom County Health Department, Lummi Indian Health Clinic, Nooksack Indian Health Clinic, and SeaMar Family Health Center Bellingham.
